M: For the past two years I've been working with Riding Lights Theatre Company, touring the country as a member of Roughshod going into schools, prisons, youth groups and old peoples homes (basically anywhere that will have us!) performing a variety of sketches and workshops and being generally rather loud!
L: I was studying for a masters in physics at York University. However I am a rare breed of Physicist in that I am actually sociable!
Where are you from originally?
M: I'm from the very edge of London, the part that borders with Essex. I try to keep the Essex bit quiet though!
L: I'm from Oxford.
Tell us something interesting about yourself.
M: My standard interesting fact is that whilst playing in a concert I managed to collapse a lung! I carried on playing saxophone and singing, went for a curry afterwards, went home and took some indigestion tablets and the next morning decided hospital was actually where I should probably be!
L: I'm a qualified scuba diver, and interestingly that's my best move on the dance floor!
What are you most looking forward to about getting involved in Students at the Belfrey?
M: I think I'm looking forward to getting to meet so many new people. I really thrive in situations where there are lots of people to talk to and get to know. I'm also really excited by the prospect of greeting all the new Freshers and getting them plugged into the church community here.
L: I'm looking forward to seeing old friends again and meeting all the new freshers, but mostly just getting to have a good laugh with them all.
What's your favorite thing about York?
M: The huge amount of coffee shops, I think since I started working at the Belfrey I've become 90% caffeine!
L: The number of pubs and Northern hospitality.
A night out or a night in?
M: I do love a bit of a dance! Although modern music is not my forte, give me some S-Club or 80's pop any day!
L: A night in with a few beers, a pizza, a few mates and a movie.
Football or rugby?
M: I love both! I grew up an avid Arsenal supporter, but I do love Rugby. I especially love the respect for the referee and the fact that rugby players don't roll around on the floor as if they've been shot when they get hurt!
L: Probably now Football, I used to love Rugby but its died off more recently.
Takeaway or cook for yourself?
M: Pizza is one of my absolute favorite foods. You can't beat a takeaway pizza loaded with many types of meat!
L: Cook myself a meal, preferably with a few mates.
