Christy talked on the theme of 'Gods Kingdom come and His will be done'; focusing on two main points, 'proclamation and demonstration'.
Christy talked about preaching The Word, how we first have to be empowered by the Spirit, but that Gods Word is our foundation and that it keeps us grounded. Christy carried on to say that often the greatest detriment to Gods Kingdom is our own Kingdom. Keeping Gods Word at the centre of our lives will help us to focus on what is really important and allow us to show Gods Kingdom in action.
Christy went on to talk about how we should demonstrate Gods Kingdom, she talked about how we are called to feed the poor; but we have to remember that everyone is poor. To be poor simply means to be needy and everyone needs Jesus!
Christy also talked about the oppressed and how we should be looking to bring Gods Kingdom into the lives of everyone who feels oppressed in some way, with healings and salvations but more than anything by showing love. Christy then talked about how if we don't love, we won't live an empowered life; we might visit, but we won't live it.
All in all it was a fantastic evening at The Belfrey as we prayed for each other after Christy's talk and had an awesome time of worship led by the ever wonderful Tom Holmes.
A cracking night at #the7!
