Christian went through five points for being undercover in the workplace. Firstly, we need to pick a sin. Wherever we are there is sin. If we identify a specific sin that is common place on our work environment we can then be intentionally counter cultural about that sin. Secondly we should be Net Givers, rather than a drain. We don't want to always be dependent, because when we love one another we give more freely. Thirdly we need to embrace Sanctification. So sanctification means to get better at something or to be purified. When we are sanctified that is the inner work of God deep within our personalities. So when we're having a bad day; before we come home and rant or vent on facebook we should take a minute and try to reflect on where is God in this situation? What is He trying to teach me through this? Christians penultimate point was that we should 'take God to work'. If we're secret agents, then our place of work is where we have been placed to do mission. Finally we need to work hard. That doesn't mean to be a work-a-holic but simply to do our very best in whatever it is we are doing; because our actions and our words might be the only Christian activity they might ever see.
We were fantastically led in sung worship by Alasdair Munday with another of our wonderful students leading the service in the form of Sam Rankin! Overall another great night at #the7!
